You know the one big problem with millions, possibly billions of people are?
Information, and not lack thereof, in fact the opposite. Nowadays we struggle with too much rather than too little information in our day-to=day lives. Our brains are so fed up (literally) with so much information and knowledge to the point we don't know how to handle it.
This makes it hard to focus because we have so many thoughts rolling around and then we continuously let it roam by constantly scrolling or watching videos, constantly intaking more and more knowledge and never allowing our brain to calm down or settle.
This is why all thoughts and embarrassing moments come when you're about to fall asleep, because it is the only time it gets to think and process the information you just gave it.
Sometimes we realize it's hard to fall asleep and then will just give up and scroll more just adding to the problem. This does explain why meditation is so good. It also means meditation could indirectly make you way smarter.
But that is not the method I am teaching. Instead, it is light summarizing. After you've learned a lot, especially if you studied, take a break and summarize everything you learned in one sentence.
It takes, let's estimate on the higher side and say 30 seconds max. If you're not able to do that, then you don't know the information enough to be able to broadly explain it to yourself.
If you'd like to solidify the information even more, you could pretend to teach someone else and instruct them starting from the basics. If it takes a minute, it takes a minute, if it takes 20 minutes, it takes 20.
The morale is to summarize, even in your head, if you want to write it down then do it. However, make sure whenever you start to feel you need a break or are getting tired, summarize what you learned to give your brain a deeper understanding.
If you did it well than you may even come up with more questions to look up.
Now if I were to try to summarize this article in one sentence it would be...
Summarizing your newfound information into one sentence can give your brain a break and a deeper understanding to help increase the long form memory of that subject which can help your energy levels drastically by putting a lesser load on the processing part of your brain.
