"I don't do much yet still feel exhausted for no reason". The Reason behind this Statement.

This actually was me a couple years ago. Every time I got home I felt exhausted. Sometimes I argued it was because I am an introvert and have a low social battery, sometimes I argued it was because I was "too emotionally intelligent" and that drains my mental/social focus (which is part of it), but neither was the reason.

Instead, the reason is simple, constant stimulation. I'm not going to ask you to get off your phone or tv, in fact, some cases I may encourage it. However, it depends on how.

Lately, I have been journaling, sometimes, especially when I'm working, I do literally 1 or 2 sentence summaries of what happened in the last few hours and that few second to a minute of silence and retracking helps gain my energy back.

It is proven that paraphrasing in general can help your brain shorten the length of brain paths and memories which can reduce the need for cognitive thinking constantly.

So, by journaling briefly I help lower the requirement for thinking and the length I need to reflect on.

Also, I have been doing a lot more grounding techniques that have helped me that I also reccomened. In that blog post you'll see a few methods that you can do in the morning to prepare or even in the moment techniques.

My personal favorite has been my feet.

Sounds weird doesn't it. Well, you see all you need to do in a moment is to just focus on your feet touching the ground. Wiggle them a bit and see how it feels.

Not only does this redirect your attention from whatevers stressing you out, but it also gives yourself a moment of curiousity to and time to think.

These methods, even breifly can greatly increase your focus, energy levels, creativity, and cognitive function (to list a few) and only take a few seconds. So, try to incorporate these in some way and you'll see that you may no longer feel exausted without doing anything.
