The Power of Hate

You hate things? Yeah, me too. We all do, or at least I hope we all do. There's a quote that I like that goes like "It's the lows in life that make you cherish the highs and if it isn't, I guess I'll be fine believin' a lie." -NF
What does this mean? Let's be honest we've all seen it happen, like when you get sick and you realize you really took life for granted and being healthy.
Or cold days you miss the sun and the opposite; the hot days you miss the cold.
We're really good at wanting something we don't have and then not appreciating what we do have. Now, how does that tie into the power of hate? Well, it's honestly kind of a stretch but think about it.
We all probably hated or currently hate our past selves. This is good this means we're developing and on the right path now.
If you prefer your past self than try to find when things went wrong. But overall, this means hate can actually be a measure of goals, strives, needs and wants. Maybe there is someone that you hate that is extremely rude. Perfect!
That means you don't want to be a rude person. Find ways and research ways to be nicer, even subtly to your friends, go to their birthday parties, text them, talk to them more. And this is just the beginning...
How to Use Hate Effectively
Did you skip to this point? You know you shouldn't skip life buddy head back and read that top part. It'll take maybe 2 minutes and there is some valuable information, and even a secret step!
But anyways, hate, as I mentioned is a great tool to have. We all hate certain things; we all hate different things.
How or why? Experience. Experience is the main development of hate and wants. Why is this good?
Well, this means hate can also be used to reflect! You may find throughout the things that you hate, they all come from experiences. If you dislike something like rude people, then it's likely a rude person has hurt you in the past before.
Meaning we can use the things we hate to learn more about ourselves. Especially the things that are often hidden. There might be some hidden trauma in there even.
Purpose
We all know hate is a good motivator for villain origin stories (I know not the way you were expecting me to open this up). This is because the so called 'villians' have a purpose or reason for feeling this intense dislike towards a certain method, way, or person.
Meaning hate can be a great motivator for pursuing things that often feel hard. Let me give you an example. Sleeping in.
We're all guilty of doing this, whether accidently or not. But how do I stop? I am wasting so much time out of my day!?
Well, introducing anti-goals. Anti goals are a free and excellent way to get things done! Tired of sleeping in? Well perfect!
That means you're already on the right track! Hate it, as much as possible! Remember how it makes you feel when you accidently sleep in too much and whoops it's 12pm.
Pretty annoying right? Did you know your brain is better at remembering punishment than reward? That's what makes these anti-goals so great!
Back in our ancestry days we needed to focus on the things that could potentially kill us or harm us rather than focusing on compliments or good food. Because if we did something wrong, it could have been the end of the human population!
This is also seen through the news. You can probably list more tragic events than you can good ones. Use this brain hack to your advantage.
Yes, you like sleep, but you also hate sleeping in. We'll let me tell you, just about everyone is tired when they wake up. Probably even after you sleep in you still have to force yourself up.
This is natural. Your body is actually waking up inside and doing the things it needs to, though it takes time.
A good way to speed this up, do like a minute of something that requires effort like pushups (just go until you can't, even if that's 2 or 3), if you can't do pushups, do a plank, or a situp, it doesn't really matter.
Get out of bed and get some blood flowing and you'll find your more awake then ever!
Important Closing Argument
So yeah, I ranted pretty crazy. Let me be clear, don't go trying to hate everything and being like "YES! I can use this event as a way to push myself!". First off, no. This is the main cause of burnout.
You get rid of everything you love, and life just won't be fun for you anymore. The point in self-improvement is to feel happier with yourself, not get rid of everything you love.
So, stay cautious and stay smart please!
